Creative Sparks Art Lab
This class is a hands-on art exploration through a variety of engaging techniques, inviting materials, and inspiring artists. With student choice and self-expression at the heart of every class, kids build confidence, develop independence, improve hand skills, and spark curiosity as they joyfully create. From printmaking and painting to sculpture, clay, and more - each week is a new surprise!
Fibers & Textiles
In a digital world, there is something deeply satisfying about making something mindfully with your hands. In this tactile, creative class, kids explore felt, fabric, yarn, wool, weaving, stitching, dyeing, knotting, felting and more! From eco-printed totes to felt pouches to embroidery hoop art and beyond, every project enhances fine motor skills, patience, resilience, and problem-solving.
At Art With Susan all projects allow for creative choices, decision making, and imagination. No cookie cutter stuff here!
Each day students learn a new art skill and use that knowledge to create an art piece. Classes may also include books, art discussions, and sharing time.
Students will:
> express themselves through choice-based artmaking
> explore a variety of hands-on art techniques
> expand their knowledge of art and artists
> improve their hand skills as they create
> practice communication skills as they discuss their art process
> boost their problem solving skills and resilience
> have fun and create joyfully!
